#1

When should you aerate and overseed?

September is optimal. Fall gives you the perfect combination of warm soil and cool weather. These are ideal conditions for grass growth.

#2

What is aeration?

Core aeration is a process that removes plugs of soil throughout your lawn. This alleviates compacted soil and thatch. Core aeration helps water, air and nutrients reach the root zone of your lawn, which results in stronger grass roots and a healthier lawn.

#3

What is overseeding?

Overseeding is the planting of grass seed directly into existing turf without tearing up the turf, or the soil. It’s an easy way to fill in bare spots and establish better color, improve the density of your lawn, establish improved grass varieties, and enhance your yard’s landscape.

Why should you aerate and overseed?

Quite simply, to preserve your lawn’s health. Aeration and overseeding can help reduce soil compaction, improve overall turf health, and help reduce weeds.

Then introducing new grass seed to thicken existing grass will provide a textural and color boost to your lawn.
